“Yesss, I hope I'm a little more limber in my thinking when I become an elder? Luckily it will be a way off so far…” The dark delight seeming to be happy to lap up the praise for her lateral ability when it came to her approach to situations, Yui could not understand how people became to locked into their viewpoints and stubborn in their beliefs, and hoped that she would not be like them as she grew older. Though, given the lifespan of Shinigami, she had rather a significant wait on that, of course.

“Wait, both worlds…?” A little nugget of wording from her new acquaintance seeming to stick in her mind like some kind of burr however, the brainy beauty couldn't help but tip her head to one side as the lass described some overlap with what she was familiar with in other places, and knotted her brow for a moment too.

“Ay yes, is this the case in the human world too? I had assumed from their inventions, the minds there could be more… Forward facing?” All the excitement and her famished and fatigued state almost fooling her into forgetting the fact that her fellow femme retained her human life memories, honestly she still felt a little bewildered by the statement given the innovations which seemed to be gripping the mortal realm when it came to their technologies of more recent years, and sought clarification from her cohort on the matter. Though never for a second did she seem to suspect a different implication, of course…

Confidence was a slow and insidious killer.  On the one hand, the two were walking right past the break room.  Rabirria had no idea how close she'd just skirted towards her secret being disastrously unveiled.  On the other, she was so confident that she was relaxing and that could lead to...slip ups.

It didn't even occur to her that she'd slipped up.  That Yui had seen something odd.  Hueco Mundo hardly counted as a world after all, so both worlds was obviously human and spirit world.  If she'd paid more attention maybe she would have realized.  Instead confident she hadn't been caught on anything she'd just keep up with the conversation.  "I'm afraid not.  You certainly have some progressive folks out among humanity, but it can be kind of shocking just how regressive and stubborn a lot of humans can be."

She shook her head sadly and...a tiny glint of something strangely gold would just be visible at the edges of the veil as it swayed along with the motion.

“Well, well, at least we know where to souls here get it from, hm~?” Perhaps that hint of gold beneath the veil something which seemed to cause the girl a momentary intrigue but ultimately her inexperience of the human realm meaning she did not leap to assumption based on such a fact, instead the brainy beauty merely nodded as her newest fount of information affirmed the notion that matters of philosophy were not all that different from what they knew here, and deferred to the obvious wealth of experience which the lass was presumed to have in this area.
“Oh look, the break room! Seems you weren't exaggerating your navigational expertise at all, hm~?” Not that she was all that keen on arguing the toss when her blood sugar was quite this low anyway and as such it coming as a relief to the raven when she spotted a familiar door none too far from them now, Yui had no idea that their ability to reach their proposed destination had come about more by accident than design, though either way was happy about such a fact. After all, she was starting to lag in all kinds of ways by this point, wasn't she?

Even the mistakes Rabirria didn't know she was making were leading to zero consequence!  Truly nothing could topple this arrancar as she nodded along with her 'senior.'  Then came the bomb, an explosion in her mind that felt like it should remove the head from her shoulders in a fantastic display.  Rabirria did miss a step at that, stumbling forwards as she turned to stare wide eyed towards what Yui was talking about.

"What?!"  What did she mean?!  Had Yui actually been completely wrong about where they were going after all?!  Her jaw dropped as she saw the door to which Yui was referring to, literally.  That...wasn't good.  Hollow masks were both mask and face and this went for fragments too.  Her mask being one massive jaw meant it also functioned like one, which meant it could open tremendously wide and so it just falling open?  That'd show off even more before she quickly snapped her mouth shut...with a very odd clack. "Wow, ahah...guess I was...right after all..." 

Why!?  Why, why, why?!  Who the hell didn't know how to get around their own place of work!?  What was she going to do now?!

“Whew, thank goodness. If we'd have been walking for a few more minutes I might have fainted~? You really saved me there, I can tell you?” The creeping tilt of the door which obstructed them something which Miss Yamanaka welcomed with both a smile and a sigh of relief, she even went so far as to steady herself by placing her hand upon the frame as she admitted that she had been faltering fast in their march toward systemic sustenance, and wasted little time in striding into the room and making a beeline for the refrigerator within it because of that fact.
“Let's see what they've got eh~? Anything you're in the mood for~?” Left to hum as she set herself to work finding something or indeed anything which might stave off the pangs of hunger a while longer and allow her to amend the levels of her blood sugar and such, the dark dish dipped forward as she began to rifle through what was inside it to see what had been left in there by their colleagues, and in doing sniffed at pots and boxes which contained foodstuffs and drinks to see how long they had been in there. Though frankly, with how famished she was, even the discovery of a week old curried horse might have tickled her fancy right now…

They'd found the break room.  They'd found the break room!  Yui's wry comments about having been about to pass out caused Rabirria to briefly question if she wasn't just being played by some kind of 5D chess mastermind.  However, she was confident she was just overthinking it, this woman was just...clueless.  Rabirria had gone to college, she knew what the really, really hyperfocused nerds could be like.  She'd seen Goggles get so focused on explaining a concept to her that he could walk straight into traffic and not realize. 

Yet, she'd never seen Goggles completely fail to understand where the damn kitchen was!  Rabirria silently followed the shinigami into the break room, eyes briefly looking around.  It was empty, pretty understandably given what time it was, but still it wasn't like it was three in the morning or something, just late.  So, did she just refuse to eat or drink anything?  That would be suspicious but maybe this woman would actually be enough of a ditz to just take whatever lie Rabirria said for granted or should she...

'You know what?  This is way too much effort for something that'd just be nice to have.'

With that thought rolling through Rabirria's head she decided on her course of action.  This attempt to deceive this woman had thoroughly run its course on being fun, so she was going to take a gamble.  Her demeanor changed completely as she pulled out a chair and sat down.  "Well I could use something to drink, don't really matter much what it is as long as it's meant for drinking."

When the shinigami turned around to join Rabirria with whatever she'd grabbed?  Rabirria was going to reach up and grip the side of her veil before simply pulling it off, revealing the gleaming white and gold of her mask, like an imitation of a skull's jaw, edges and teeth gilded and glittering in the light as Rabirria put the veil on the table eyes fixed directly on Yui.

If the woman tried to scream or shout the arrancar would have to move fast to silence her, but few were ever prepared for when Rabirria just went full Sonido while in a casual, relaxed sitting position.

"So.  I'm afraid I've been misleading you a little."

“What's tha…?” The dark dish delving into the fridge rather dutifully and as such caught completely off guard at the reveal that her new friend had for her, she seemed to merrily load up a plate with a mismatched assortment of food in order to stave off the worst of her appetite and scoop up what looked to be some green tea as well, though sufficed to say when she turned around she did not expect to see the change in her cohort that was for sure. Left wide eyed and unable to speak as the vixen tore away her veil and then seemed to lurch into a seat with a noisy flash, all that Yui could do for a moment was gape at what she saw, though perhaps not for the reasons most would.

“Incredible! Absolutely marvellous! You're… an Arrancar?!” Many likely to be awestruck and intimidated but as the seconds seemed to pass by the look of surprise which Miss Yamanaka wore seeming to melt away in favour of something rather heavily tainted by delight, after almost dropping the items she had in hand the buxom biologist beamed and placed them on the nearest counter, before breaking into a tippy toed trot and looking like a lass who had come down for her very first Christmas morning!

“Gosh, I hadn't heard that we've recruited one~? How amazing…! We're definitely going to have to book you in for a proper physical, I can tell you…!” Scampering over to where Rabirria had seated herself in fact and getting as close as she could without making the woman uncomfortable or worse, while one penny seemed to have dropped in her mind another seemed well and truly stuck in the air as she bowed in the middle and looked at her new friend with a giddy degree of excitement, all the while seeming to blissfully miss the connection between this revelation and the figure for whom the guards had been searching earlier to boot! Seemed that sometimes even brainy girls weren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, hm?

There were a lot of potential reactions Rabirria was waiting for.  She knew full well she was in the science division of the shinigami, and the real nerdy types could behave very differently from the more pragmatic folks.  So, there was a chance that Yui wouldn't be all that alarmed at being face to face with an arrancar, and what do you know?  Yui was that exact type of nerd.

The woman put the food and drink on the counter before immediately rushing over to the lounging arrancar, clearly delighted.  Granted, while Rabirria had been somewhat optimistic this woman still seemed way, way more pleased than she would think reasonable and then?

For the second time in what felt like as many minutes, her jaw dropped.  It just unhinged and fell open.  Yui would probably be fascinated by the idea that Rabirria's mask was also her mouth, complete with massive, monstrous maw hidden behind the jaws.  However it would click shut as Rabirria's head tilted back, body quivering, before finally the dam burst and she bent over the table, wheezing with laughter, a fist slamming down onto it repeatedly.

It took a moment for her to get enough control to speak, lifting her head up, tears in her eyes and still laughing.  "You didn't recruit an arrancar!  I'm the intruder those other shinigami were looking for!"  God, how dense did someone have to be!  How could she even come to that conclusion?  Why would the shinigami ever recruit an arrancar let alone someone like Rabbiria?!
