Yama heard the explanation that Shizu gave of Menos Grande. It was interesting, but didn’t really change anything for Yama. They were just tougher and crazier Hollow from the sound of it. Which only left him wondering what it might be like to find one. It sounded like they might be stronger than Shizu as a somewhat new Arrancar, but he imagined Arrancar must have a greater threshold for obtaining power than a simple Menos Grande. Or at least that was his assumption.
“I’m sure Shizu would have told me anything I wanted to know if I asked.” Hell she even told him lots of personal things about her old life before she had become a Hollow, tragic really. She was like a horror movie monster, classic, tragic, horrifying.
And he wasn’t going to forget the way she had tried to bite him last night. It was probably his fault, but it wasn’t a switch he was aware he was going to flip at the time. It would be a while before he attempted to ask for anymore kisses, but he did intend to even if it meant facing her teeth again.
In regard to the kick and the apology, Yama nodded. “I’ve been hit harder than that before, but I’d say it’s sitting somewhere in the lower half of top ten hardest times I’ve ever been kicked.” He mused as he scratched his chin recalling the few times where he fought something stronger than himself and thought he was going to get his head ripped off.
“I don’t appreciate that.” Yama noted to Nikki as he took his drink while she made her little gesture. “I’m not sure what your problem with us is, but you’ve done stuff like that a few times now. Do you have a problem with me trying to make Shizu happy or something? I’ve rarely been in a relationship, but I’m pretty sure it’s a good thing to want to make your partner happy.” That was to say Shizu was his first girlfriend ever, though he wasn’t sure if Shizu wanted to be referred to as his girlfriend yet. He doubted she would have a problem, maybe even be over the moon if he called her that. But on the other hand he was a little worried about flipping anymore monster switches, especially in public. He’d take that risk later when they were alone first. “I might be an asshole, but I hope you’ve had good relationships. And I hope you wish the same for us.” He suggested simply.
“But if you can’t… Well, I guess we don’t have to be friends. Your place supplies work hunting Hollow and that’s good enough for me. We can just keep things professional.” He said trying to be neutral about it, not usually a sensitive guy, though he imagined the more he grew to like Shizu the more these small disparaging gestures would come to annoy him. Generally speaking he was usually a man of slim tolerance to people who insulted him, at least if the insult was good enough to make an impact. And he imagined that tolerance was even more slim when he considered people who might insult Shizu.
He was also tempted to tell Shizu not to share her personal life before she was a Hollow with Nikki given her half hostile response to the question of herself, but he left the choice up to Shizu in the end. If she was generous enough to share her history with Nikki despite the hostility she faced she was a bigger person than Yama was in that sense. But he would not blame her if she took the petty route either.
